“This is your sign to don that volunteer vest that you haven’t worn since secondary school, because there is absolutely nowhere like Whoopsadaisy. The work they do is so valuable that you’ll see kids coming from all over Sussex.
You are surrounded by passionate, talented people, who love their work and make it an absolute joy.
You can see the kids progress even over the course of a few sessions. And it doesn’t matter how bad a day you’ve had, their excitement and joy at just working hard at something, and doing it surrounded by friends, are absolutely infectious (and more energising than a triple espresso!)
This is genuinely one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done, or i think i ever will do, and i design x-ray instruments for a living!”

– Charlie, Whoopsadaisy Volunteer

Henrietta Durden
Henrietta Durden (Hetta) is the newest member of the team, recently graduating with a master’s in Psychology from the University of Sussex. She has worked alongside Charlie and Nora over the last year through volunteering in sessions and at the holiday club!
Hetta is incredibly excited to get started as a member of the Whoopsadaisy team, helping children to reach and achieve their goals.
When Hetta’s not at Whoopsadaisy, she loves running along the sea front, walking around the South Downs and generally exploring the outdoors!
